But a slice of time
I could go on about the picture of this lone ice-cream vendor in the middle of Bombay, listening to the Indian cricket team win the semi-finals, or the immigrant families that gather around Reagan National Airport every sunday evening to watch the planes land. Rather, I think, I might tell you about the pictures I missed - falling off a cliff 134m high with very sharp stones straight ahead (apparently, New Zealanders can be trusted with bungee ropes), or the perfect reflection of copper beach trees on a still lake in New York. Or about those crazy people one meets; Canadians living a dorm in Nelson, having sold everything couldn't help but celebrate Thanksgiving with me, or the hoarse bar tender at Indianapolis airport who always offers up a free shot of Patron Tequila 'cauz its friday honey'.
But I won't...I've traveled through 28 cities this year, and taken a few flights to get there - it's been an exhausting year, and I don't have much but this little portfolio to show for it. Thank you to those who have visited, sometimes often, sometimes with pleasant encouragement. This is but a slice of time, and 50% in pictures aint too bad.
Yours sincerely,
R
